Our Story:
Three years ago, Janine and Kevin moved to Missouri with a vision: to build sustainable food sources, create a flexible family-centered lifestyle, and live a life rooted in movement and healthy living. What began with a small composting business and three Kune Kune pigs has steadily grown into much more.
Today, Kevin oversees a neighboring city’s composting efforts and supports a federal grant project. The family provides locally sourced meat, pets, and breeder pigs through Home Grown Snouts, is active in the area schools as coaches and teachers/school counselor and is working to create systems change in support of local farms. Their farm is guided by regenerative practices and a long-term vision for a healthier, more connected food system.
This work is deeply personal and shaped not only by values of sustainability and stewardship but also by family. Their children can often be found on egg hunts or showering affection on the animals that make up the heartbeat of the farm.
