Manheim Paseo Learning Garden

Manheim Paseo Learning Garden (MPLG) is a regenerative urban farm based in Kansas City’s Historic Manheim Park neighborhood. Founded to transform vacant land into productive growing spaces, MPLG cultivates culturally affirming crops, edible native plants, herbs, and pollinator-supporting habitats while prioritizing soil health, biodiversity, and long-term land stewardship.

Our farming practices focus on compost-based fertility, crop rotation, mulching, and ecological pest management. We are committed to building healthy soil as the foundation of nutrient-dense food production and resilient urban agriculture.

As part of our farm operations, MPLG also trains youth in hands-on urban agriculture and environmental stewardship, creating pathways into regenerative food systems and strengthening the next generation of local growers.

In addition to fresh produce, MPLG develops value-added products through Caring Hands Apothecary and preserves seed heritage through Ancestral Roots Seed House—both rooted in crops grown and stewarded through our regenerative practices.
