Our farm is in the suburbs of Independence, MO. We have been at our new location for a year now. So much has been built this year for our community to participate in the farm as well as our non -profit, Precious Petals and Pepper Berries Teaching Emporium. We are changing the area one person, one family, one community at a time with healthy food access no matter your income, teaching you how to grow, cook or become an entrepreneur, to bring income in for your family.
We grow everything organically on our farm with a wide range to choose from – tomatoes, cucumbers, squash potatoes, beans, eggplant, herbs, garlic, peas, mushrooms, greens, strawberries, blackberries, elderberries, cabbage, kohlrabi, beets, turnips arugula, spinach, and so much more! We also have over 50 different jellies and jams made using local produce we grow right here on the farm or harvested from within 75 miles of us that we rotate for the season. We have a line of Spice Blends, some using Ghost Pepper and Habaneros and some using the herbs and peppers from our farm.
Our farm not only provides local produce and added value products for our CSA and local farmers markets, but we are working with our non-profit Pepper Berries Teaching Emporium, to teach classes for gardening, cooking, fermenting, dehydrating canning classes and even some art classes.
We are working on launching our “Farm School” and “Farmers Hub” in 2027, so stay tuned! The farm & the nonprofit will help young farmers learn to grow, provide land access, and help them market their produce or added value products through wholesale and retail avenues. Becoming a nonprofit, Pepper Berries Teaching Emporium, will be been able to expand this outreach to all ages & all incomes levels.
