Rolling Prairie is the original Midwest vegetable cooperative. The founding farmers joined together in 1994 providing a vegetable subscription service to Lawrence and Kansas City. More than 300 households receive a weekly bag of locally grown produce during the growing season. While not all of our farmers participate in the organic certification process we still follow the same natural ecologically sustainable organic practices for growing food we have used since we started over twenty years ago.
Rolling Prairie provides its members with weekly shares of produce (6-8 items in a bag) with the option of adding on weekly cut flower bouquets for an additional charge. Every effort is made to provide members with as much choice as possible.
Pick up locations are available in Lawrence, Overland Park, and South Johnson County. The main CSA season begins mid-April and goes through October. Year-round CSA is available at the Monday Merc site in Lawrence only.
Membership registration is always open and flexible! New members can jump in anytime and skip weeks as needed with advanced notice.
