As Kansas City welcomes visitors from around the world for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, we have the perfect opportunity to celebrate all the wonderful things that make our region unique and that includes our incredible local food community. Whether you’re stocking your kitchen, planning a watch party or showing off Kansas City to out-of-town guests, our KC Food Circle Member Directory and Eat Local Map make it easy to find and support local food.

These free tools connect you directly with farmers, food businesses and community partners operating within a 120-mile radius of Kansas City.

What’s in the Member Directory?

The KC Food Circle Member Directory features farmers, food businesses and partner organizations committed to building a thriving local food community.

Farmers in our network pledge to uphold high standards for growing produce and mushrooms, beekeeping, and raising animals with care and integrity. Local food businesses listed in the directory actively support regional agriculture through local sourcing and partnerships with area producers. Partner organizations help advance food education, access and community connections throughout the region.

Each profile includes information about products, services, locations and ways to connect directly with the people behind the food.

Why Use the Eat Local Map?

The Eat Local Map brings the local food landscape to life. It helps you discover even more farms, farmers markets, local food businesses and retail locations across the region.

Planning a Saturday market trip? Looking for a farm stand on your way home? Want to find restaurants and grocery stores sourcing from local farmers? The map makes it simple to explore what’s available nearby and throughout the Kansas City area.

In addition to KC Food Circle members, the map includes an expanded listing of farmers markets, restaurants, grocery stores and other retail outlets that support local producers, making it one of the most comprehensive local food resources in the region.

 What Can You Find?

Both the directory and map include easy-to-use search filters that allow you to browse by product, farm, business type and location. You’ll find:

  • CSA memberships and farm shares
  • Fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and mushrooms
  • Locally raised meat, eggs, and dairy products
  • Honey, baked goods, preserves, ferments, and other value-added products
  • Restaurants, caterers, grocery stores and more!

Local Food, Real Impact

Choosing local food creates benefits that reach far beyond your plate.

When you buy directly from farmers or support businesses that source locally, a greater share of your food dollar stays in the community. Those dollars help family farms invest in equipment, land stewardship, infrastructure and fair wages. They help small businesses grow, create local jobs and contribute to vibrant main streets and neighborhood economies.

Local food purchases also create opportunities for beginning farmers and small-scale producers who often face challenges competing in national food markets. By choosing local, you’re helping ensure these businesses can continue serving our communities for years to come.

Just as importantly, buying local helps you build connections with the people who grow, raise, prepare and sell your food. Those relationships create a stronger understanding of where food comes from and foster a deeper appreciation for the work that goes into feeding our region.
